Hi, after several months of living off my savings and credit / out of work. I find myself roughly 14,000 in debt, however this is spanning several different creditors. 4000 (unsecured) to a credit card company, ( now late in payment) 2200 to a unsecured personal line of credit , ( also late in payment) 2500 to a medical clinic , ( not yet late in payment) 3300 (unsecured ) to a different credit card company, ( now late in payment) 2500 + about 200 in collections fees to another credit company. (also unsecured) My question is, is there any difference in terms of the types of debts with reference to either credit scoring, or with reference to what assets might be in jeopardy should any of the above creditors seek legal actions... ? My State is Virginia. I own a car but rent my apartment. my other question is, if you owe money to several different creditors, if one of them sues you for a judgment, are they required to share any benefit of that judgment with your other creditors?...
